We have a space ‘UPSTAIRS’ at the Beresford to meet and greet tonight from 7pm.

We will be giving you the low down of the Parade and introduce the Committee, Choreographer and Creative.

Chapstick Photoshoot this Saturday 9 February

If you want to come down to volunteer for the Chapstick Photoshoot and Promotional Day, Orlando will meet you outside the Bondi SLSC at 10am.

MG FAIRDAY this Sunday 10 Feb

Don't forget that we have our stall at Fair Day again this Sun Feb 10 and will need some people to come along between about 10am and 4 or 5pm and hang out for an hour or two to help us.

No pressure selling stuff, just really an opportunity to catch up with friends.

Bring your red and yellow but feel free to strip off and put sunscreen on passersby, or just relax and convince others that joining lifesaving is a great idea.

Let us know if you can swing by for an hour or so and we'll be in touch.

Chapstick Photoshoot this Saturday 9 February

Lifesaver volunteers wanted for Chapstick Photoshoot and Promotional Day - Saturday 9 February

Our wonderful sponsor, Chapstick, is hosting a "Summer Lovin" Day at Bondi on 9 February and has asked for some LWP to turn up to join in the excitement and activities.

You'll be involved in photoshoots with media, talking to the public about the LWP, and hanging out with the Chapstick team

You are not required for long - but it would be great if you could RSVP and turn up for 2 hours:  
Where: Bondi Beach, on the grassy hill near the Bondi Pavilion
When: 10 am - 2pm
What to wear: SLSA Uniform (you can be photographed in your swimmers if you wish)

Who wants to be in a feature film?

LWP support the feature film DROWN, which is now in production ... The film is about a gay lifesaver and how he stands up to homophobic bullying whilst respecting the life choices of others... For more information on the film, please visit the official at: http://drownthemovie.com/

The casting coordinator has put out a call for at least 5 of us to participate in a scene to be shot on Maroubra Beach ... The scene involves lifesaver beach and ocean races ... We have been warned it will be an exhausting day, but a great opportunity to have a lot of fun ...

Date: This Thursday 7 February 2013
Location: Maroubra Beach
Shoot time: 8am to 6pm (food provided)
What to wear: Patrol/Competition outfit

The casting coordinator also requires people to be the crowd and support the lifesavers in their races.  Get friends and family to come along ...

TELSTRA are assisting with creative and float production and a lot of ‘firsts’ will be introduced this year, including digital interaction between supporters and parade participants ...
